I need ideas if you dont mind!!
Ok my cossies off the road over winter, while i sort a few things out, originally I wanted to put black morrettes in, black 17s and black tiger stripes (dont say a word, I like them
)
But im not so sure if to go in the other direction, some nice silver 17s, full re-spray, colour coded morrettes
Been quoted a re-spray at £900 odd so thats the expensive option pmsl
What do you lot reckon or do you guys have any other sugestions, bearing in mind funds are low
I wanted something a bit different, and dont sugest any mad colours lol, I like the crystal blue

Large and small squares, triangle, jig saw puzzle shapes all over the car. Suunds silly but ive seen it all done and they look good.
Im gonna do something totally unique to mine next year as i hate it being white, i just aint decideds yet.

thing is dave what will get more laughs the saff with stripes or a pink escort wrc replica which normal people will just think why has he put bit spoilers from halford son it
and wheres his max power sticker
I must admit, whilst I did like the stripes, I think I preferred it without.

And when I peeled the stripes off it did take some of the laquer with it and I had to get the rear quarter painted

If it needs respraying, putting stickers on will not change that "need"
. Personally, I think Crystal Blue is one of the nicest Saph colours, so get it painted and looking like new and don't hide the colour

Dave seriously you know im joking and dont mean any offence you have put alot of time and effort into that car
but next time phone me up ya self if you have a problem
cos getting ya mother to call to tell me her little soilder is in tears and that she worked very hard to get you those ripspeed vouchers to buy the spoilers is way below the belt
is the car rusting or anything where it needs painting?? if so then you need it painted anyway, if not why not just leave it until you have the cash.
Id rather have a car with fucked up laquer than tiger stripes on it.
just IMHO though

In all seriousness............................
The car is already out the ordinary because of the nice colour it's in. Why would you spoil that nice colour by putting stickers over it?
Personally I always think modifying is about improving the look of the car, and personally I just couldn't stand the sheer embarassment of driving a car with Tiger Stripes.........
For me, it's all about a real clean, straight car - nice set of wheels, nicely lowered but not too much, plenty of bling under the bonnet (or clean and standard), and just the few touches here and there. A full respray like you're suggesting just brings a car back to life.
I had my old saff, which was a scabby car, resprayed at a huge cost, and it came up so nice!

The reason why Tiger Strips work on some cars (like white saffs e.g) is because of how "solid" the colour is. The stripes do well to break up the profile of a white saff (usually because white saffs are a horrible white), but they certainly don't suit blue because of how close black and blue are to each other...
I think you'd "enjoy" the car more that way -at shows, meets etc, where people notice the car because of the good clean mods, and not because it looks like it just jumped of the front cover of a Frosties box
