High-performance Ford fans will also be keen to learn the Fiesta RS is well on the way to showrooms - and with more power than first thought.

A Ford test driver exclusively revealed to Auto Express that the supermini will blow away its rivals with more than 230bhp. When the Fiesta RS Concept debuted at March's Geneva Motor Show, bosses said it would have at least 180bhp - but our insider revealed: "It will be a lot faster and more powerful than we suggested."

Me + my old chap spoke to someone from the RS developement team at the motorshow. At the time he said the power would be around 180BHP and also said the production would be even more limitted than the Focus RS + the price would be similar.

 

15-16k I will do but i aint paying 20k for a fiesta get real

 

My thoughts exactly, no turbo either, not as easily tweeked. Although he said they were working with reputable tuning companies to design the car with further modifications in mind, ie turbo conversions etc, they should just bolt one on in the first bloody place!

 

wish they would hurry i just wanna own an rs again

 

if it has that much power i think it would be worth around 20k. especially as it's gonna be in more demand and less made. don't think they will lose much in price for a while
