Default Just borrowed my mates nova

What an awesome car Admittedly im not keen on being in it, or seen out in it But the lads done good, he's fitted a 2lt 16v lump, and does all the work himself And the thing flies, didnt bother with 1st gear as it just span but knock it into 2nd and its ace, nailed it in every gear and it just kept going, it is quick as There wasnt much out so didnt really have a play, except one of those new shape bm's, the guy thought he could get away, haha how wrong he was, the nova just sat on his bumper and then he moved over

Wicked little car, well done Chris, cheers buddy

(if anyone wants ANY Vauxhall advice, or work done/engine swaps etc etc, he is the guy to speak to. You name it he can do it)

Mate did one of these himself too, looked almost identical but his wasBlue, same wheels and all!

Is it a myth or don't they understeer and handle/brake like a bastid once they've had these engines fitted?

thats why 16v nova's are so quick off the line, engine's right over the front wheels, unlike a rst.

nice car

They stop bloody well once you have fitted some of these to it.
Glad your having fun with the old girl just mind out for vectras that turn out on you.
Also thanks for the good responces to the car and as for handling in the wet dont bother but in the dry set them up right and dont lower it to much and there fine.

Never been THAT impressed with ones with normal 2litre 16v's in em, but calibra turbo engined ones are MENTAL...

Infact got some Datron figures for some we recently timed right in front of me...
0-100 in under 10 seconds on normal road tyres is pretty fucking mental for anything, supercar quick

Ive had a few now, standard Xe like this one, one on throttle bodies, turbo one, and another standard XE one

all hilarious fun, but the turbo one is defintely the pick of the bunch, the midrnage speed (ie 3rd and 4th gears) is better than a stage 3 cossie from even a moderately tuned "evo 5" chipped nova.

My current one is mid engined though, so a little better off the line to say the least!

As for handling, if you get the suspension right, they handle well, but never brilliantly like you can make a 205 with the correct setup.

But they certainly dont have to handle badly.

Put it this way, johnnybravo off here is quicker round the ring in his with only 150bhp than any of the cossie lads ive seen there so far except rainbird, and its not cause he is quicker on the straights than a stage 3 saph, cause with only 150bhp he wont be anywhere near, so its blatantly the fact its getting through the corners far quicker than the cossies that is doing it!

Tim yes mate, thats the van

You was in the 11s to 100 Tim m8
And the grey Nova was in the 10s to 100

You and the van was both 5.3 to 60 on your best runs, and the grey Nova was 5.4

So did better than you thought with an open diff

good to see some peeps still lovin the old 2.0 16v nova u can't beat them for all out fun car.

it's the whole surprise element i like about them and how i still miss mine
200bhp N/A power was an absolute scream once into 3rd gear it was an animal.

keep them looking subtle like yours is and no 1 even suspects a thing

heres a little pic of my last 16v nova
