Default One broken GTi...

A mate of mine rings me up this week saying they think there's a problem with their Golf GTi as it's not running properly, and can I have a look at it for them...needless to say I found some problems with no.1 and no.3 cylinders...

...the moral of the story is: don't rag the crap out of your car 24/7 with no oil or water in it as it will break!

The funniest thing was seeing exhaust fumes coming out of the header tank - never seen that before! That was one proper fooked head gasket

The head was mashed too due to the piston breaking up and damaging the valves and seats etc. so it looks like engine out next week and a 16v conversion

imo, your better off with the 8v I dont think much of the 16v most vw guys would agree youd be better off going all out for a vr6 or 20v turbo

I've said to put another 8v in it, but hey some people have more money than sense and if a 16v is what they want, then that's what I will do

I get paid either way
