My rad is that size and looks a fair bit bigger than my genuine 500 cooler

Thanks everyone!

Jus my intercooler will be here next week, and its 700x300x150! (Custom made, FAR bigger than most GTR intercoolers)
And i wondered how it compared to the RS500 one, which is a nice benchmark hooj intercooler.

500 ones are very tall, probably one of the highest car intercoolers there is!

Tho i guess its the thickness thats the thing with the 500 one, where it fits means it cant be v.thick

Always wondered if a proper front mounter would fit and be better (ie not so high, but wider and FAR thicker, esp as a lot of the RS500 intercooler isnt really exposed to well to the airflow...), like the WRC one.

Heres a pic of how big mine is (jus different end tanks on mine)-

Anyone know the dimentions of the Escort WRC intercooler? Thats shorter/thicker/wider than a 500 one, but no idea on dimentions

yeah but that's a double pass jobber. it needs to be thicker otherwise the internal pressure drop would be very high.

NO IT ISNT DOUBLE PASS

ITS SINGLE.

Thats TWO inlets as the car is twin turbo, and a single outlet on the opposite side

Mine is single pass too, single inlet one side, single outlet other. 150mm thick and 700mm wide

wouldnt like to speculate on power, and i never heard of a GTR with a similar enough spec to estimate off somebody else, but il be properly gutted if it shown less than 700@Fly (pump fuel), but im hoping for a fair wack more.

we'l see i guess.
