Super Unleaded!! regardless of wether chipped or not - RST's were designed for Leaded fuel orginally (Last of the turbo's actually stated SUL in the brochure once 4* died a death), LRP no good. You can use NUL only if you have the timing retarded (assuming late head)
no reason you cant run one on 95ron tescos shit as long as you get it set up on this fuel.
notice how when you loosen that bolt on the right hand side of the engine you can actually TWIST the distributor this beleive it or not actually does something

Lol so did i or super at least... dont understand why anyone would want to run an RST on NUL unless your a cheapskate or bought the car for its looks not how it goes
When I'm referring to NUL (95 RON) and SUL (97RON or greater) I'm not referring to brand, but grade of fuel i.e. either 95 or 97+ RON. I find it surprising, and a little disturbing that people think a standard ERST should use 95RON fuel!

Well i'm afraid it don't know my NULs from my SULs
just relaised we all completely missed the point of this post
Speak for yourself Jimbo ALL RST's were mapped to run LEADED fuel, or when that was all but phased out in normal use, SUL was deemed acceptable without further adjustment (in actual fact, 98RON unleaded fuel - people often forget that SUL used to be 98RON in the good old days....). You are correct about the valve seats, but that's not the real issue
