Super Unleaded!! regardless of wether chipped or not - RST's were designed for Leaded fuel orginally (Last of the turbo's actually stated SUL in the brochure once 4* died a death), LRP no good. You can use NUL only if you have the timing retarded (assuming late head)

no reason you cant run one on 95ron tescos shit as long as you get it set up on this fuel.

notice how when you loosen that bolt on the right hand side of the engine you can actually TWIST the distributor this beleive it or not actually does something

I'd recommend it

just relaised we all completely missed the point of this post

a SERIES 2 RS TURBO has hardened valve seats so does NOT require leaded fuel/LRP/Lead Additives

ie you can run it on unleaded fuel without risk of damaging the head

i THINK some of the early S1s might not have this done, but i dont know for sure (ive forgotten )

also LRP is SHIT far better off using unleaded fuel + lead additives

Speak for yourself Jimbo ALL RST's were mapped to run LEADED fuel, or when that was all but phased out in normal use, SUL was deemed acceptable without further adjustment (in actual fact, 98RON unleaded fuel - people often forget that SUL used to be 98RON in the good old days....). You are correct about the valve seats, but that's not the real issue

EDITED: spelling

That's on a Cossie (and some Vauxhalls) Gus, pretty sure you have to do it via the dizzy on an ERST.
