dude... i dissagree, these car's are getting harder to get hold of... i's a unique car so why follow the herd with the rs lump?

i certainly won't be sticking an rs lump in - duratec maybe but turbo...nah

 

Lovely looking car, much prefer the mk1's to the mk2's

wont b turboing it im afraid, not into turbo's fed up fixin ma m8s got some poly bushes t fit, a rear spoiler, nothing else looks wise, bigger brakes an hopefully a set of side draughts as the down draughts have since been taken off .

 

thats the car off the road for the winter months, got ma self a nice diesel fiesta for commuting was thinkin of an engine transplant??? getting a bit bored of the cvh now, dont want 2 turbo it as i'm not a big turbo fan. any suggestions welcome,

edding they were 40 dcnf's, have since been taken off and sold lookin 2 replace them with side draughts. the engine its self was rolling roaded at 134 bhp in my old xr2, engine is well specced up getting bored of it now tho but not got time or money 2 do anything about that just now

I have to say now though before the pics go up, the only pics i have of the car are in the state it was in before i broke it, it had been sat on the drive for 2 years.

Ive got a picture of it from the previous owner and it looked spanking i'll try and borrow a scanner. Hopefully everyone will appreciate what the car once was and why im so keen to re-birth it

(PS i hated the spoiler, car came as is, spoiler was sold on eBay i'll stick with an RS spoiler )

The car was a 1.6i originally they all come black around the tops of the doors, ive got a red one atm and that is the same, clip on aluminium trims, and the bits on the B pillars are black stick on stuff.

This is why im trying to find a donor car, went all the way to Liverpool about a year ago, cos i found a gold one, thing was well tatty and only a 1.6 carb and the joker wanted 900 for it and wouldnt budge, had been attacked with gold paint on the drums etc and all under engine bay, wasnt worth it at all.

Its the bodykit i love. Yours is a right spanker, especially compared to mine

 

2ltr mondeo zetec engine mate, me and me mate just put one in his mk4 cabbie escort. and it fooking flys! Got a turbo cabbie my self but was well impressed when we finished his. would make the orion shift!

Yes just a standard 2ltr silver top zetec engine. No mods as it came from the mondeo. absolute power house. luv the orion mate keep up the good work. The orion was my first modified ford and i still like them to this day!

 

well m8 just purchased myself a silver top out a scrap mondeo, engine is in pretty good nick with no leaks or that.... unusual for a ford!!!! need 2 find some time 2 fit the bloody thing now.........

 

I used to have a Caspian Blue mk1 Orion, loved that thing to bits too

I 'think' the rego was B700 OLK IIRC, i wonder where she is now

yeh man dig them out this is about the only car ive had that ive not got bored of...........yet!! plenty time, fancy replacing it with a mk1 fezzy supersport!!

 

thinka set of diamond cut rs 7spokes would set that off a treat! looks cool!

deffo zetec power though mate, i just put a 1.8 into my xr2 and im well impressed. its running 2.0 cams and throttle body, 4 branch and K+N and it goes really well! was running a pretty lairy cvh in there before (1640cc L+B bttm end, stg3 big valve head, etc etc), went well but this is much better!

 

cheers mate, the cvh in the car is pretty much the same as what you had, been lookin at a set of diamond cut bad boys for a while now, might end up with a set on it yet if money works out!!!
