Plate looks ok, it's always difficult to tell what the police will say about plates as there are a few ok-ish coppers out there these days who will just give you a warning rather than do you for it whereas some coppers will still be arsey about it.

If you get reported for it twice (i think) the DVLA can take your number plate off you though.

don't ever come over here then, the coppeers are complete arseholes about them!

My mum and my dad have both got personalised plates, legal lettering but they just changed the spacing, coppers pulled them both over within a week of having them, saying they couldn't read the plates

Any alternative spacing to the standard issue can result in a fine, and if they repeatedly pull you for it they can confiscate the plate.

If you've got anything else on your car that you could pulled for avoid illegally spaced plates. If they see your plate, they'll pull you over and check the rest of the car over while they have your there.

I gave up with my "dodgey" plate and put a legal one on it, after getting stopped twice.

Mine's R1TH B but I changed the 1 for a lower case "L" so it looked like Ruth - suppose I was asking to get stopped really and they did me for my tints too

It's easy policing. They can knobble you and fine you and the clear up and detection rate scores nicely again for them.

I gave up years ago when my set of dodgy fonted plates landed me in court

I have had my plates on for nearly four years and I've never been stopped. Well I've been stopped but they've never mentioned the plates!

I don't know if you can quite see it in my sig. but two of the fours overlap and there's illegal spacing between the last 4 and the E and also between the S and the F. I see a lot worse on the roads, at least mine are in the correct font and size.

Both my private plates are legal now, can't be arsed with the aggro. That said, if you think some of the bike plates are small, you should have seen the ones I used to run a few years back...........letters and numbers were 2.5 inches high - the whole plate only measured 8 inches long by 4 inches high......... back in the days when I really didn't give a shite !!!!
