Very nice,

Was looking at selling the Escort Cossie last month (before i wrecked the engine ) to purchase a full MK2 rally outfit, car, spares, trailer ect and was going to do single venue tarmac events.
Id say go for it

Very nice Lee-

I have been watching MK1's and 2's on ebay and been to view a couple.

If you're not bothered about originality or such you would prob be better to hang on and get something better spec'd OR a similar RS2000 for similar money. That just seems like a good car with very minimal and sensible mods but very clean.

I'd expect that to fetch around 3800 to 4200 maybe???

Lee

Parts are cheap and easy to get hold of.
Upgrades are plentyfull.
People that know what they're doing with these cars are on every street corner.
People will stop and stare.

Just gotta keep on top of body work. You'll never loose money on it apart from upgrading it and keeping on top of the tin worm...

If you have somewhere to keep it its an excellent idea.

depending on what hey are parts aren't that easy to get hold of.. especially harrier stuff.

I'd say hold off and get a base model that's been worked on unless you're really bothered about having a harrier or RS (more for your ŁŁ). you may well end up cutting it up like i've done if you want it to handle, and if you get an RS it'll already have the anti tramp bars, and i'm reliably they're informed they're a total bitch to get rid of.

make sure the chassis sills, inner wings etc are 100% and not been cleverly disguised

if its as good as it says it WILL fetch over 4k, harriers are one of the rarest of the "good" mk2's

oh and parts ,if you want original parts they are very hard to get hold of now

just look on ebay at parts and see what they are fetching

i sold my cossie for my mk2 and never looked back , best thing i ever did
