hi can anyone help i have just had all the vale,s and springs redone on my t reg 1999 1600 escort finesse and they found that one of the springs had snapped its been all put back together and now i have another problem it will not run right and keeps revving like crazy by its self also sounds like it is taking in air some where at the back of the engine i am just about giving up on it its been of the road about six weeks now please please can any one give me some idear what it can be

i think the extra air leak will be the cause of the idling problem.

Have the car running and spray wd40 carefully around induction and manifold pipes around the engine. If you hit the spot, the revs should calm for a moment, then check that area is sealed up and tight.
