Default OMG - just had a test drive at a Ford dealership in.........

the NEW Mustang 4.6i Premium - all i can say is fan-fookin-tastic, the cossie is going for sure, i'm in love.

Also had a drive of last years top-spec mustang with a V8 and manual box, 300 horsies at the fly - fantastic, manual will take time to get used to in LHD format tho, but fook me, amazing, absolutely fantastic.

Its safe to say i'm going to be seriously looking into purchasing a new 'stang when i'm home in the UK - i'm seriously sold on these and they are so amazing, even in standard form, they drive like a dream - simply stunning

Yanks call it traditional technology and use the old Pony cars heritage to great effect.

even with the live axle at the back - it drove great - very good in corners for a big yank tank, and the slideability is awesome

oranoco they may have a shite rear axle ( where as the wishbones on the other ersts are class aint they )

they DEFFO look better,,,, makes my cossie look like a old white rusty sierra with black wheels as the tosser parks behind me

Lad up here has a new SVT stang oooo my its absolutlely amazing. Just a change of supercharger pully and you can see big bhp increases at the wheels.

If you need any help in what to watch out for in buying them i will see if i can get him to put a post in here for you.

They're as common as muck round here and are seen as a bit cheap. Bit of hairdressers car if you ask me. Try out a road with some mid corner bumps and then tell me if you still like the rear axle

If anyone was that bothered by the rear suspension, you can just buy one with European style independant rear suspension as a factory option. Problem solved, not that it's that much of a problem anyway...

Over here only the forth coming GT version has 'proper' suspension. OK, if you drive reasonably sedately then the rear axle wont bother you but I think most people on here push on a bit so you pays yer money and takes yer chances.

My lightning is left hand drive and not a problem, As for having new arseholes by cossie owners i still havent Truck runs 13.02@106 and has done proven 153+mph the only down side to american cars are the brakes, with better brakes I'll be going for 160mph at brunter With regards handling its just knowing how to point them, yes they will slip and slide but also at very fast speeds and remain controllable.

I just haven't bothered with my cossie since owning my truck as everyday I enjoy it.
