why not keep it all as you normally do on the road to give you an accurate reflection of how fast the car ACTUALLY is rather than make lots of changes to it and get a time that doesnt reflect its speed on the road?

ps get some Eagle F1s and keep the standard tyre pressures (its not worth it for the extra drag you'll get for a faction of a second less wheelspin)

worn tyres shouldnt make much difference ona drag strip, after all the more worn they are, the more like slicks they are... lol

I would have thought lower pressure would make quite a bit of difference to setting off, but as jim said the drag wont help, besides it depends on if you want a "real" tome

The drag of a lower tire pressure is insignificent compared to the gain on the 60ft, 60ft is the most important part of the 1/4mile sprint.

gob2, why not just buy good tyres instead

i run my rear tyres at 32psi for the WORSE grip for those "brown pants at roundabouts" moments

Jim Galbally
I take it the Gob2 comment is aimed at me

I run 13" wide michelin race slicks, and that is the pressur ei can lap fastest at.

Hard tyres = Fun though
