Default Alarm Probs... any ideas?

First off a big thanks to Jamie@Jamsport for sorting out my clutch yesterday

However, that was the first time the battery has been disconnected for longer than 15 mins, and after he connected it all up, the originally not working alarm started playing up. now i dont have the fob for it anymore, as the bloke who sold me it said it didnt work, i tried it a few times, and it didnt work!

All it does is flash my hazards for 30 secs, then off for 5, then on again etc. there is a clicking noise from under the dash aswell. The alarm siren doesnt come on. the alarm siren box clicks away under the bonnet.

i dont think that it has an immobiliser, as i have a separate toad one, and the car still drives with the hazards on. if i take out the hazards fuse, it obviously stops, but then i have no horn, and i need the hazards just in case.

how can i d/c it? Jamie said it is prob behind the dash somewhere, but i dont fancy taking the whole dash out!

any ideas?

oh, and im not sure on the make, but i think its a cheapo 1, as the fob was a shite 1!

listen for where the clicking is coming from, if its inside the car the alarm prob runs its own relay for the hazards, try and find it and remove the relay see what happens, but personally I would want the hole brain taken out as it could be draining current when Idle
