Yep, sold tonight on eBay for 2k, gutted really to see it go, (should go saturday) bargain for 2k IMO, for the amount spent of her, but im now buying a house and changing my job a longer drive to work aswell, so i thought with my bottom end only covering 9k it was a good time to sell and let someone else enjoy her!.

Was thinking of buying something sensiable all week with the money, but thought na, gotta have something to get to work in, so im getting a MK5 RS2000, will but some pics up at the weekend, may not be everybodys cup of tea, but its a good one.

 

had a last of the line 2000, it was mint and could get in give it a blast and not worry about it breaking, had it 8 months and never had to fix it once. They are a fast car, nice and revey, sound amazing with a filter on. good look mate keep it blue oval

i know but selling a rs turbo isnt easy, at the end of the day its just a mk4 escort so had to cut my losses,

anybody know what a rs2000 is like on fuel?

the one im getting has a filter and it did sound good on the test drive,

at least ill still be a rs owner!, maybe not the most creditable rs badged model, but still a rs and i can stay on PF!

cheers mate, some will like it, some wont.

 

mine was not that bad on fuel about 30mpg ish unless its getting ragged then it drinks it 18mpg ish. still good fun, handle quite well. has nothing on my turbo but better on fuel and looks clean and fresh well mine did as it was one of the last.

 

they are quite hard to tune, dont know what your plans are but ford made a good engine in the first place so not alot of room for more unless you get hold af a galaxy bottom end 2.3 chip and cam and it will be keeping up with the rice rockets.

 

not really sure on tuning, maybe a zetec turbo conversion in the future, or a turbo'd rs2000 lump, will have to wait and see at least when i put my foot down its not likely to go bang

 

i always wanted to do a zetec turbo in a 4x4 RS 2000, imagine the grip and supercar killing performance with a 400bhp motor in a little stripped escort

 

i havent got the 4x4, shame really,fords 4wd is good, i had a xr4x4 before the rst, felt like it was on rails!

i had a rs2000 , you wont like it , i promise you , even after all the tuning and body mods, they are flimsy as fcuk

i sold mine after 6 months but you might be happy with it, ill never buy another

 

hope not, just done the wheel bearing on it today, so it drives mint now,

i just wanted a bit more comfort driving to work,

how can a rs2000 be anymore flimsy than a mk4 escort?!

Don't come down on the price mate well worth £2000 if they don't want to pay that put it back on ebay
