Ive got a Mark 4 Escort with an RS Turbo interior, but standard door cards, as the donor car when I got my Recaros and rear seat had electric windows, which my car doesn’t. Now, Ive managed to dent my offside door, and it needs replacing. Is it possible to just transplant whole RS Turbo doors and thus get colour-coded mirrors and electric windows? (Do all S2 ERST’s have leccy windows?)

As long as your car is 3 door the doors will go straight on. all the s2s had electric windows

 

I'm sorry but that's not correct.
I'm not sure about UK, but in denmark the cars could be bought without electric windows, and in germany even without Recaro seats.

 

All mk 4/ 3 door escort doors are the same and as above all s2's came with electric windows in the uk and most of the mk 4 xr3i's as well

What sort of work is involved in fitting the electrics for the windows?

 

On pre 90 spec you could get Non-custom turbos which meant no electrics at all. On 90 spec they standardised custom packs to all turbos
