hiya peaple new 2 this pf lark jst baught my second s2 good car jst a few probs there is a loud tapping when the car is warm doesnt do it when cold tho sure its tappets jst thought id check also it doesnt feel as quick as it should do it only has a ss zorst doesnt seem 2 boost right any help would be appreciated

 

a light tapping from the top is usually the follows, any deeper knocking is the bottom end,

or could be due a oil change

 

thanx mate bout due an oil change also takes ages 2 start when cold think its the cold start valve so i will take it of c what happens . dnt no bout it not being that quick gona get it set up doesnt seem 2 pull well on boost

 

do u have a boost gauge, if not, most standard rs turbos normally run about 2-3psi due to worn actuators!, c what boost its running, then get it setup, maybe your timing is out aswell

 

Ive had 2 meny rsturbos change the follows. I did on most of my ones make sure you soak them in engine oil first.

 

got 1 it goes 2 about 8 then drops to 5 jst sounds and feels lumpy only jst replced fuel pump as it was popping and banging when it hit boost doesnt do it now tho

 

will do mate jst asking 2 make sure it was ok 2 drive as im in it everyday

 

The cam might be worn as mine is eating the folowers but its ok till there worn.it holds back all time when there fcuked but when i changed them they were fine.got me new cam just got fit it though....

Ive just got a cheap new std cam only paid £40 but didnt come with followers...just got fit it now though had enough of taking the thing apart now
