Default Help Needed - ZVH Engine Mount

Getting desperate now!!

Doing a ZVH conversion and ive modified the rear engine mount bracket
to clear the 1800 oil pump but the rubber chassis mount that bolts to the bracket and then to the inner wing is still fowling the oil pump and doesnt
go into the bracket far enough for me to secure it properly!!

Went onto zetecturbo.com and they gave the part number 81AB6038AC would be needed but ford no longer make this part and so cant get hold of it!!

What chassis mount are people using on there ZVH's??

Its all finished and running and just need this to finish it - any help would be much appreciated

Cheers

I used http://www.jimhearne.co.uk/zvh.htm as my reference site.

mine is a 2.1zvh though and not sure what the differences are to the 1.8.

If you look down to for the engine mount section.

Matt.

Cheers Matt,

But ive modified the bracket to clear the oil pump, its the rubber mount that goes into the bracket thats giving me the grief!

It will not go into the bracket without fowling the oil pump, the metal cage round the rubber hits the oil pump so it dont go far enough into the bracket for me to secure the two bolts that hold it onto the bracket!!

Does anyone have a picture of there mount that they could post up including the rubber mount on the bracket

thanks for help anyway matt

i did one the other day you have to cut the bottom hole off the mounting plate and use the 2 top holes only. then bolt the bracket back on as normal

Uh oh.

Are you using a Mondeo lump and oil pump?

The Fiesta/Scort oil pump is angled inwards to clear the chassis leg. The Mondeo one sits straight.

Not sure whether or how it's possible to get around it if that's your problem.

The Mondy oil pump is a straight swap for the Fiesta one but it's a lot of work to swap if there's an easier solution.
