Default Range rover

Looking at P38's about 200 but the question is 4.6petrol or 2.5 diesel Does anyone have experiance of either and how about gassed?

I have a P38 2.5 diesel Range Rover and it is a sound bit of kit

On a run i get 48.8mpg

round town it stays on about 30mpg

Could be for sale soon if your interested

Ive had a Manual 2.5 DSE for years, good car , a bit agricultural but great tow vehicle . Sounds like Tiffs got a mini engine in his or his message board Dash is broken as mine does 26mpg round town and 32-34 on a run , its been "adjusted " as well ! Hope you have deep pockets when they go wrong tho , the best 4x4 Dealers charge like a wounded bull for service and parts.

i drive a 2002 4.6, that sees around 10mpg in town, and 20-22 on a run if your carefull.

I can 100% say that the figures i have quoted are what i get

It may be to do with the chip and uprated intercooler
