It turn out that the shit that came out of the turbo... swarf a while ago and that had also fooked 3 of my bores also had seated itself around 3 of the inlet vavles seats. 
We were going to fit new valves when Liam noticed there wasn't actually thing wrong with my current valves, just their seats.
Removed, grounded, cleaned, re-fitted, starts.
SORTED

isnt swarf though is it, its Carbon isnt it???
Funnily enough, I mentioned to Andy at the Essex meet, how my dad suggested your low compression could simply be as a result of some carbon becoming lodged between the valves and their seats... Which was probably dislodged when the valve stem seals were done... Im surprised the seats werent inspected whle you had the head off the first time TBH
