Seether are impressing me at the moment. Karma and Effect is a good album and if you fancy something a bit different I got Nightwish's Once album, they're a Finnish band with a female vocalist.

if ur into guns and roses id have a listen to velvet revolver, (and for all u people who are musical virgins ) this is guns and roses minus axel.

or if ur just after good tunes then id recommend bloc party, kaiser chiefs, babyshambles, the dead sixtys, and the new paul weller stuff is superb! (the modfather is back )

I seen the guns n roses thing on Sky before i would have loved to see them in Concert. they're fooking ace. Cival war, when he's live on stage looks quality wish i was there to see it.

Not keen on Velvet Revoler heard a few off thier stuff and only liked 1 or 2 songs. i think the only time u get too see slash's face is in thier stuff.

Cheers brooksey i'll give Underworld a try i forgot about BORN SLIPPY (qaulity tune)

I'll give FUEL a try ONE doesn't do it for me.

AC/DC Sounds good aswell, whats the song they done that stars off slowly i thinks its got a keyboard affect or somthing simular on the start.

I'll give infected mushroom a quick try aswell.

Cheers GUYS

Fuel is a quality track. You have to be a keen Metallica fan tho to like ONE, but it is a classic and a real quality song - to understand it fully you need to see the video to it, and also read the book "Johnny Got His Gun"

Check out THROUGH THE NEVER, OF WOLF AND MAN, AIN'T MY BITCH, SAD BUT TRUE aswell. See how you get on with that before going onto the heavier stuff from "Ride the Lightening" and "Master Of Puppets" - don't mean to sound funny, I just don't know how heavy or fast you like your metal "And Justice For All" is a killer record. The title track, and BLACKEND are espeically great. DYER'S EVE is a complete monster

As for IRON MAIDEN - Any of it with Bruce Dickinson is cool! I was never a fan of Paul DiAnno and hated the Blaze Bailey stuff. FEAR OF THE DARK, POWERSLAVE, NO PRAYER FOR THE DYING, SEVENTH SON OF A SEVENTH SON are all superb!!!

But I repeat : CHECK OUT DREAM THEATER!!!!!!!!! The albums IMAGES AND WORDS and AWAKE are probably best to start with - if you have any questions about Dream Theater, hit up Petrucci with a PM - he is THE man in the know about them! Give you a guess where his user name is from

The Metallica version is good - but it ain't a patch on the original version recorded by Thin Lizzy in the late 70's

Same can be said for TUESDAYS GONE. Love the Metallica (and co) version, but the original Lynyrd Skynyrd version is teh roxorrozz

Al Bags - I'm not sure DT would fall into the "Good old American rock" catergory chap Maybe "heavy progressive adult-orientated-metal" catergory! Think YES/RUSH/PINK FLOYD combined with Metallca, Meshuggah, and Slayer

Oh, and remembered another couple bands worth checking out;

- Tura Satana (formally known as MANHOLE untill a lawsuit in the mid 90's)
- PIST.ON - heavy heavy!
