Hello Passion Ford Members,

Here at Club Brands Hatch we are running another Novice day for those of you with little or no on track experience. The day on the 2nd of December is an ideal opportunity to sample what being out on circuit is all about for as little as £79.

It will include:

· Free helmet hire (Normally £10)

· An on-track briefing pointing out key points of the circuit as well as covering vehicle preparation, track etiquette and racing lines.

· Brake boards and cones around the circuit to help master the track effectively

· Additional briefings and a Q and A session after your first 20 minutes out on track.

· Limited to a maximum of 25 cars on circuit (Normally 36).

· Experienced instructors on hand throughout the day, offering advice and in-car tuition.

You have the options of booking the morning at £79, the afternoon at £89 or the full day at £155.

You don’t need a special car to take part; all cars are welcome.

Well thats me booked for my first track day , am I the only one ?
lovely an empty track all to my self then

What should I expect ?
what shall I bring with me (yes I know the car is a good starting point)

 

You should expect a really good day out! Arrival is very early at 7:30am where you will get signed on. Driver briefing is at 8:30 to let you know all about the track day rules, flags, racing lines etc..

At 9 o'clock you will be driven around the circuit by an instructor so you know exactly how to tackle each corner before getting in your own car. A few limited speed laps behind an instructor in your own car and your ready to go!

If you have a helmet then feel free to bring it with you, otherwise there are plenty available here. You need to bring your driving licence and obviously your car.

It's as simple as that.

Bit of an early start ah, are you coming from far ?

 

Are you on the morning session or the afternoon? im on the afternoon.

No not to far, no more than 30mins around the M25.

Never done a track day at brands but have at a few other places - but was up there with Tony Ryan on friday and it was pretty empty so got to have a good look around at the pits and track etc

 

morning session for me, then back to work in the afternoon( no leave left) i have just had a cage and seats fitted, wow the cage has made such a difference to the handling, just cant wait to give it a bashing on the track.
i have done the rally day(wicked) and single seater at brands, but only getting about 6-8 laps mearly wets the lips

We have another Novice Only Day on Sunday 15th January (an XMAS treat for someone you know?)

I have been asked to drive the chief marshall around the course
on the preston road rally on the 3.12.05 (200 miles of whites)and therefore don`t want to risk breaking the car on the pre-booked track day so I have decidied to ask Alex at brands to re-book me for the 29.12.05,if alex agrees ther may be a spare place

Sorry about the lack of spaces! Our Novice days have really taken off and i've even had to move a few people off of the novice day that I didn't consider to be novices.

We have more dates available the next being on the morning of the 29th December. If there is enough interest then I shall be opening up the afternoon as well. We also have a Novice Day on the 15th January.

Looks like there is some serious interest in track days from the Passion Ford Members! Hopefully we can get an exclusive Ford day organised for next year..
