check the wires what run through the door into the car, they can wear there causing the windows to run slower

Ive got the same problem with mine, takes about half n hour for them to go up, and if you try doing both at once thats the end! they both stop!

Gona strip them both down when i get a chance, check the wires and get some silicon spray on the runners,

My old S2 used to do this, once the runners were greased up that helped a fair bit

mates mates, tek your panel off the door, librally spray with wd40,(cleaner)
use your windows up and down a few times, they will loosen up for sure, then use a wax spray grease on all the moving parts,(white lithium) from halfords and good car stores!

sorted ,

mine used to be sloooooow!
