Coming home from yesterdays InterFord and I started getting a aqueek that started to come from what we think was the front left wheel. The squeek was very audible and the steering felt a bit pants.

Got up this morning and drove the car to work and there was no squeek and the steering felt fine again

Obviously I am a little concerned as to what this could be. I wasn't exactly gentle on my drive up to InterFord but the drive home was pretty sedat

Any ideas people before I just phone PON up?

 

Smells like a wheel bearing dying.... Mine is doing the exact same thing, when I took off the wheel, there was definate play in the bearing. When it's cold, it's fine. As soon as I've been driving a while it squeaks and whines, especially on right hand bends....

TCA maybe? mine started off like this just squeaking and feeling a bit 'funny' round a right hand corner its now got to the stage where the wheel judders as you go round the corner strange thing is it seems ok for the first half of the journey to work.. then it must work itself a bit loose and start knocking etc

 

Am I really that predictable?

Think I've murdered those ST170 brakes as well mate as the steering wheel feels like it's gonna jump out my hands everytime I touch the middle pedal. How much will new discs cost me chap? Fitted cos I'm lazy
