Default FAO anyone with a s2 rear disk conversion....

hi im looking to put a disk conversion on the back of my cabby, just need to know in what order do u assemble things onto the rear hubs?

do i need to keep the 4 bolts that you bolt the rear drums onto the hub with?

no idea where the wheel bearings go either

any help anyone can provide will be very usefull.

basically you will need to assemble in this order

put caliper bracket on where drum back plate used to be

then hub on

disc

caliper and pads

handbrake cable and brake lines

the bolts i got with mine were the heads have been machined down as the bracket is thicker than the deum plate so the hub would catch the bracket bolts

also what brake lines are you using as the originals will be to short

ahh had a look mate and that makes it alot clearer, so the bracket goes on the hub first and bolts to the hub where the backplate of the drum used to be ,

then the disk and caliper?

then the wheel bearing hub nut and cover?

adam your probly the best person to ask cus you have put one together.

how much did the kit cost you and what size is it? many thanx mark.

Al.
subsequently redesigned the brackets slightly to use 8mm bolts to hold the brackets, which avoids drilling the hub upright at all; and dual fixing holes for the caliper to allow fitment of either cossie discs or the slightly smaller, cheaper, (and in my experience more suitable for this application, giving a better front/rear balance) mainstream Sierra/XR discs.
