Default Connecting Laptop to TV.....

Ive got a Sony Vaio laptop and am sure that someone mentioned that its possible to connect the laptop through the TV giving me a bigger picture. Hows this done and what connectors/outputs/inputs do i need on the TV/Laptop? (The laptop is a Sony Vaio VGN-FS115B)

Cheers
Chris

Tiff - sssshhhh!!!

Jim - no s-video on the laptop, but it has a weird looking connector with 15 holes over 3 rows (5 holes on each row). Do I presume this is a VGA connector? What converter box thingies are about?!

yes that a VGA connector (well i dunno the actual name of the conector, but 99% of people call it that)

you'll need a box to take the signal from a VGA source and convert it into a source your TV can read (ie S-Video, RGB, Scart etc. ) i also THINK you can buy USB ones nowadays (i was about 15 years old last time i looked at em tho, times have priobably changed! lol)

for example (quick google on "vga to tv" )
