just need a question answering really

ive just bout a xr4x4 2l dohc and only just noticed it has aircon

now im going to be fitting my cossy engine nxt year and would really like to keep the air con if possible

what i want to know is will the mounting brackets and pumps fit onto the side of the 200 block and everything line up ok?

also if it does any sugestions on what to do with the rad and fan as i will be fitting a 500 cooler unless i can get a front mount like a skyline etc

any suggetstions thanks

 

Does it depend on the belts used.

Some are poly V belts and i think the power steering is on the opposite side so will have to make it all the same as the air con pulleys.

 

You have to use every thing off a cosworth thats as air con condensor rad pump clutch pipes pulleys brackets etc.. are diffrent to the dohc.

The bulkheads are the same so all should just bolt in.


I sure i read some where you can get a 500 cooler to fit a esc cos with aircon.if not try someone like proalloys i sure thet=y could make something up to fit.

PS. aircon bulkheads are diffrent to any other sierra without air con.

are the heater matix parts the same as aircon to non aircon aswell

 

Yep all the air con parts are diffrent

but non air heater system is just the same as a normal sierras

i was thinking about getting mine 2l dohc gassed up the light still works when you

push the switch in ..but on a 15 year old car

im just looking for trouble ...

is the anyway to test the system if it works ..i no theres no gas in it

ponder open a window cheaper option

would like it to work though love air con in summer time

 

im sure you can take it to a aur con place

but i know the gas your supose to use is illegal to use now for being to toxic but dont know if they have a different soloution yet

also heard that the gas mixed with having a fag it can turn into nerve gas but not to sure lol
