Well I stand to be mistaken on any of this but as I understand it this in effect is a liar board that just changes the map reading the ecu receives thats all it does, allow more boost. It does not change anything else such as ign adv or retd, this can only be achieved by changing the 40pin chip. And of the 2 basic ecu types (series 1 and 2) series 1 is better than series 2 if chipped because there are more mapping points on the series 1 chip than series 2 if ya get me. The above liar board is okay but when I got to a 210bhp I had to change it for a "proper chip". Thats my understanding, ohh that and changing the chip is not really a diy job, killed an ecu changing mine
prob being theres very few people who can proper chip an erst ecu,but saying that ive done many of motorsport development chips for high bhp cars and as long as the car is set up ok there is no problem!
