now i was expecting a zx7r or another rocket machine

 

that was THE bike when i was 16

These bikes ehh errm (moped) was the bollox back in the day when you was 16

got mine to do 63 mph then Suzuki brought out the AP 50 which done 70 mph those were the days,

 

NO WAY!

SS 50 5 speed with C70 barrel

Kicked fizzy arse every time

The really bad thing with the SS was the cable front disc

Picture this:

A gang of us on our tuned 'peds in tight formation pass the local bikers pub, the lead bloke spots all the bikers and hammers on the brakes on his hydraulic braked FS1E, the chap behind on a ZR50 also does the same (hydraulic) then there is me pull on the lever as hard as I can but not good enough I crash into the back of the ZR and fall off in front of all the "real" bikers sitting outside the pub, the world seems to go in sloooow motion during a crash and I can still remember the road grinding against my visor After me and the SS had come to a stop my mate following on a DT50 with fucking drum brakes runs me and my bike over before crashing into a heap

We all got a big cheer from the pub, but it took a long time for the 'kin great hole in my leg to heal.

Was that really 19 years ago????
