hey, just wondering if a few of you would answer these two simple questions for me (its for the greater good, building a strong cossie diff!).

what part of your diff broke?

and,

how did you break it? (going sideways? flat out launch? etc.)

any help would be appreciated, thanks.

 

My mate kept smashing plannet gears, chipped a few teeth of pinions and sheared a pinion shaft after smashing the plannet gears again. I think he may have also chipped a tooth off a crown wheel...

 

the whole diffs are just shit to begin with

I think it was Craig N that sheared the prop shaft to diff bolt face off his diff, that was at the Ford Sport weekender.

Fucked it in style though, Wasn't a standard one either...Think it was a gripper........He will have to confirm!

 

Mine broke as the joint where the front prop meets the diff shit itself, and kinda blew up, this was all at 150mph. The prop came off and roughly the exact same time the diff just shit itself, and a huge crack appeared on the housing and the whole inside of the diff was just fucked.

 

Brings back memories PMSL!
