Default ST24 R reg, Black 87K full rsap pack, 18" hoops, Xenons

As title. I've put a deposit on a gti-6 today as I want something I can do a few track days in while the festers in bits.

Its been a wicked motor and I'm probally gonna regret it but sometimes you've gotta do things on impulse!

Cheers lads.

It is a very nice car and drives so smooth and comfy just fancy summat I can rag round a track! and the missus cant get insured or park it!

I'm after Ł2800 for her, which is a more than fair price looking at some others available on auto trader and flea bay.

Viewing not a prob.

has it had the water pump replaced with the metal impellar - as the original nylon ones were extrmely prone to failing?

The guy who had it before me said he'd replaced it, but not sure wether it's been replaced with a metal one or standard. I've done 10k since then with no probs. The only thing I've replaced is the secondaries control box thingy.

Its a sin you can buy a car as nice as that, as cheap as that, but then pay the same again to insure it...

I believe the 2.5v6 24vavle in the st24 is 170bhp and then st200 has got 200bhp, thats the main difference, think there 3 litre duratec jobbies? sure someone will correct me if im wrong, and then a few cosmetic bits on the inside and outside and bigger wheels, oh yeah and cost alot more!

ST24 is a sporty version of the V6 ghia X... the ST200 is top of the range... the difference in the engine is the inlet manifold and throttle bodie... giving it the extra 26 bhp or so...

very clean example of a well sought after car you got there mate

Before the cossie i have now i had a 1998 s reg saloon st24 ,stunnin car ,group 16 insurance ,st200 is group 17 ,both are 2.5 v6 engines ,st200 has different cams and better flowing manifold ,basically ford did what u would normally do to achieve more power !!

St200s were very nice cars but are not worth the double askin price of a st24 ,the st24 is a lot of car for the money ,st24 bhp standard is 168bhp and the st200 is meant to be 200 but put them all on rollers and they achieve 195bhp ,they only go over once they have been played with even more ,chip etc and that can go on to 205 bhp maybe 210bhp but they are at there limits ,still very lively for a family saloon thats non blowered tho

I had my st24 chipped ,secondries properly cleaned and a few other little pieces and i achieved 180bhp ,which over 168 is pretty damn fine id say !!
