Default where are ur switches and what type are they??

need to mount 2-3 switches in my car, flamer kit, dump valve etc, just wondered what type of switches people use and where u put them?? Im after some nice looking switches and pref on show, easy to get too!

Any advice, pics etc would be helpful

I used the cover in the dash that covers where the speaker controller thing usually is as I didnt want to chop my dash about, and they look pretty factory if I do say so myself



You can get two little switches in that panel

P.S - why do you want to run a dump valve on that awesome car? Running cossie management the chatter would sound sweet!!! dont do the chump valve mate!

haha, its just nice to have a change now and then, chatter does sound awsome but its just good to have it on a switch just in case i get bored lol. ive got a gauge in there so cant have my switches there

what are ur 5 gauges, i only have 4 might buy another and put my 2 in a a pillar pod then can put my switches similar to urs

where did u get ur A pillar pod from mate??

volts, boost, oil pressure, oil temp and water temp, only two work currently

pillar pod u can get them from www.nomadracing.com mate

just curiouse, how can you have a switch on a dump valve. id be quite interested in having one on a switch as the constant ppptttchhh gets annoying but as you say, its nice to have a change.

Hey mate where did you get those switches from i looked everywhere but i could find and so had to use this big ugly square thing

yeah, motorsport developments sell them, it means u can have any type of dump valve on your car, piston, diaphram type etc

im fixing to have 3 switches where my light used to be , ideal place too , ive already dittched the clock for a volt meter...........

you dont need a dump valve controller to turn off a dump valve.

If you've got a spare amal valve lying around you can do it.

I have some pics of the switches in my old rs turbo I'll dig em out...

The blue bit with the symbols on light up when you turn the lights on (dash lit switches) the top blue bits light up when the switch is in the on position.

those switches look like they are from a mk 3 cortina mate, very tidy installation job though , not to my taste sadly , when was they fitted ?

They were quite big but they were most customisable switches I could find. And they didnt look too bad in the car.

Fitted em about a year ago but took em back out about 3 months later when I started breaking it up for spares.
