Default Brakes

I'm looking at upgrading my front brakes. The obvious choice was to go for some AP 330mm 4pots. However its been suggested I go for Hi Spec 355mm 6pots! Anyone got High Spec brakes that can tell me if they are any good, or does anyone have any other better ideas???????????

Hello Paul,

Reading your text I think you have 18inch rims. But to your question....both brake set ups are very good. A lot of people who choose for the AP brakes are choosing also for the name. A bloke I know with a 400bhp sapphire with monster 4pot Hi-spec 330mm brakes said they are very good. So Hi-spec 355mm and 6pot will do a lot better. And they are the same price as the AP 4pot 330mm. Which also are very goode. So it's up to you.

Best regards,

I have the 355 6 pots on my 400+ escort they have been on for over 2 years and they work very well and have not given me any trouble at all.

I got 355 4 pots, cant fault em, and cant tell the difference to my m8's 330 AP 6 pots! Got mine off Cossymad, give im a bell he'll sort you out, he runs the 388mm, 6 pots I believe!
