Default Signing my life away again....

Found out today that after my 4 year point in the RAF I can now sign on to do 12 years instead of the 9 I already have...

So i'll be signing on for another 3 years extra

Looks like after november this year i'll be down to do just that

If you are serious about going SF I certainly wouldn't be openly talking about it on here infront of 8000+ people

You never know who is on here

Now I'm confused - I always thought the SAS/SBS were our Special Forces, but it's hinted that there are other, more secret units.

If we do, I think they should stay a secret even though I'd love to know all about them - not that I'm in any shape to join them!!!

I know 22 is a long stretch guys .. but ...

I started on 9+3
At 8, signed for 12
At 10, signed for 22
At 18, was right in the window for a big gratuity if I took voluntary redundancy .. and a good pension (full one) .. Took the package ... never looked back .. Free money every month as advertised!
But I miss the times I had. (Aircraft Engineer in RAF)

My advice .. If you can, go for the pension .. .sets you up for later guys!

You are definitely "special".

As long as the job only includes cleaning the inside of a minibuses window with your tongue, you should be at the top of your game in no time

Right .. Freddy ... !

I did 4 years on 10 Eng Dshift (by the Terminal!) Scruffy bastards lol VC10's....
Used to go on the rob down Base Hangar (the big fooker) on nights load up with goodies I was one of the noisy bastards that was running a VC10 up on the "tubes" for hours on end (you know what the tubes are, I take it?)
I remember Annual GDT training at your place .. along the road a bit from our Flight Sim : )
Anyone let one go in the bunker (ND) on guard recently ?
