Fiesta Si boot release not workin!

just got myself a 1.6 si but the boot release button in the car isnt workin, does any one have any idea what could be wrong?

it will only work with the ignition off.

I was just about to say the same!!

It's designed that way Luke to stop kids ejecting your shopping out the boot mid-flight! LOL

You sorted that clutch out yet, or do you need it doing?

clutch still needs doin, and the boot release still doesnt work with ignition off

Make sure the little copper contacts on the tailgate and boot panel are clean.
Used to have to wire wool the ones on my XR2i once a year as either the boot release or rear wiper would stop working.
