Default air leak on series 2 (need help please)

hi,ive recently bought a h-plate series 2,i have a strange noise appear when the car comes up on boost, you can hear the turbo spinning up but then there is a loud whistle almost like a release of air from somewhere and the boost seems to hold back!! i have checked all the boost pipes which are samco, ive checked the three pipes from the amal valve and all appear to be fine.Could this possibly be a faulty throttle housing gasket or poss intercooler which is oe??any advice would be appreciated.....

whistle could be a small hole somewhere in the boost pipework/ic/inlet etc spray WD 40 over all of it and check to see if the revs rise, if they do then you know where the leak is roughly

Or simply a Magnex exhaust

Mine did it loads, never did it when swapped to a Mongoose

is it possible that an air leak could get worse as the engine gets warmer?
