Default clifford cliffnet cables

afternoon all

im looking for an extension lead that goes from the brain to somewhere easily mounted, and the cable from pc to this connector.

the installers want 30 quid to supply this cable (white connector with 3 pins), which im sure should be cheaper elsewhere?

or has anyone got one they no longer need?

any help appreciated!!

its not JUST a cable, it has a end that can be screwed to the dash or inside your glovebox etc and does look neat , much easier than rooting under teh carpet to plug in, had it fitted on my evo, rpoved money well spent as i could diagnose the intellistart failing due to the bonnet pin wire chaffing out on the bulkhead when you slammed the door hard and the car would stop when it should only stop after you have got out and armed it.

Not sure if it's the same one I'm after, I just want one that connects the "brain" up to a laptop, so you can reconfigure various settings......however, it seems Clifford are having a big legal argument or something with the actual suppliers of this cable at the moment (or so the shop that installed mine say, anyway), and aren't actually making any for Clifford at this present moment in time.

I've got one on order, just got to wait for things to be sorted first!

im sorted now, ebay didnt have any, looked on there.

dan, you will need a cable to "extend" the port so it can actually be reached easily. then there is the serial port cable that plugs into the extended cable.

ive got the port extender cable now (cheers tc ), and now looks like i just need to borrow a cable off someone for a few days.

needed the extension 1st as the alarm is being fitted a week today.
