Nah... I take me punishments for my crimes........... Christ... You'd think I was some kind of crazed murderer the way the courts treat me. I've only ever had 3 driving convictions

 

thats a respectable attitude but in this day and age when theres a speedcam every 500 yards on every road you dont need to think like that no more. they are out to get everyone as if they a proper crim, which you probably arent! so points sometimes have to be shared out.....

they arent just content with all the speeding fines, they have to charge us Ł1.05 a litre for fuel aswell but thats another arguement!

you can go to court and say you will experience extreme hardship as a result of the ban, and have it suspended. there is people driving round on 12 points in this scenario. you need to show loads of remorse, say you were marginally over the limit (assuming you were) blah de blah.

at least you will be elsewhere when the ban is being served lol!

And I can't go to court on the 5th cos I'll be on a ship. What a dilemma But I want the ban to start BEFORE I go to sea, so it's gone when I get back.

cant you plead guilty by post and put all the mitigating circumstances in with the documents and driving license etc, i didnt think you would have to attend? according to a magistrate i know, it does look better if you attend though (they think you taking it more serious). but explain in the letter you have to go to sea and cant change shift etc

 

I did that, sent all my stuff and pleaded guilty. But to be sentenced (ie banned) I actually need to show up. But, I can't, cos I'm at sea.... Arrrgh....
