Default SUBARU IMPREZA TYPE RA SWAP/PX COSSIE OR MK1/2 ESCORT

This car is awesome and about the same performance as a good stage 3 cosworth due to lightweight and gearing(4.6 sec 0-60 standard),but i just cant keep away from the cosworth/rs scene,so looking for another one This is a Very rare 1993 Subaru Impreza WRX Type RA ( Race Altered ), model number GC8-A47D in near mint condition with low and genuine mileage. It was imported in Dec 1998 by Lee Jeffery ( WRX.co.uk ) a subaru specialist in Plymouth. This must be one of the best examples of a Version 1 Type RA's in the country.
There is also a lot of history with this car which is unusual for an Import with the original manuals from Japan, lots of receipts for parts and servicing and all the old MOT's since being Imported. Cambelt was changed at 47,000 miles and wouldn't need doing again until 90,000.
The RA is awsome enough in standard spec with a Group N quick ratio gearbox, Lightweight body panels and a 240BHP engine, but this has a number of performance enhancing modifications giving the car a Sub 5 second 0 - 60 time, putting some of the more modern UK subaru's to shame.
This car is also affordable to run with 25 MPG driven sensibly and my Insurance Fully comp is £400.
The car is in fantastic condition as you will see from the pictures. Its been well looked after and is in near mint condition both inside and out and just used at weekends.
Main points of Interest are:
280+ BHP. (scoobyecu fitted)
65,000 miles.
Uprated brakes with STi Year 2000 and braded brake hoses.
Dump Valve.
HKS Airfilter.
Front and Rear Strut Braces.
17 Inch Gold Speedline Alloys in Good Condition.
Near new Kumho Ecsta tyres, only covered 800 miles.
OMP Sports Steering Wheel.
fully decatted.
Scorpion back box Exhaust.
janspeed stainless downpipe.
new stainless up pipe.
6 CD Pioneer Interchanger with face off stereo cassette.
Cat 1 Alarm and Immobiliser.
Rac trackstar
Air Conditioning.
STi Version 5 Spoiler added at cost of £500.
Lots of History including a copy of the Importation documentation.
Number of Original parts available with the car if you wish to convert back to standard.
Its a genuine car with a genuine history.
Any inspection welcome and if you wish to view call 07801840485. The car is situated near the South Coast not far from Bognor.
I have the car advertised elsewhere. £5500 or px swap cosworth/mk1 escort/mk2 escort ONLY...P/X = money my way only as i want a sapphire or mk1/2 escort in vgc

Yes I swapped my beloved Saph for this! Worth it tho - it's an amazing car. If you'vve never had a Subaru then I don't think u can slag them off. They're not as lovable as a Cossie but they do the job of going fast very well!!!

Lambchop - Mark did say he used to have a Blue Saph ur right!

Cheers

oh no! what have you done to those nice gold speedlines

the sapphires been brilliant but ive now moved and dont need a car for everyday use as i walk/bike to work.i still have my garage but its a bit expensive when its really just a toy,so im looking for a old school car (cheap ins/tax exemp) or a kit car (cheap ins)to keep in garage and have a play now and again
