Default GOOD MECHANIC NEEDED IN THE READING/BERKSHIRE AREA!!

Hi guys,

does anyone know of any good garages/mechanics in the reading area that can do some work on my escort cabriolet. Must be reasonably priced as i am beginning to run out of money to spend on the f*****g thing!

Any help appriciated.

Cheers for the replies so far.

It failed the mot on rear brakes, the rear lights doing disco effects, shocks (done those myself already), and a fewother bits and peices.

Turbo T34 - i might give them a call but the thing is my car has no mot tax or insurance so i dont wanna be driving it tooo far!

for stuff like that, i would just shop around locally for a garage, just to get the car fixed.
i use Crown garage in thatcham for mot stuff.

Rear lights sound like an earthing problem, you could fix that yourself.
what else needs doing?

the rear brakes mainly mate, the mechanic i was using said that he had changed all the parts but i took it back for an mot again and it failed exactly the same. When it goes on the rollers and the footbrake is applied, it fails on the left hand reading, the right is fine? I have tried to sort the rear lights out just cant do it!

Also mate do you know of a good bodyshop that can do me a good respray at a reasonable price in the area?

Thanks

Berkshire bodyshop in Newbury is one of the better ones in this particular area, i have seen examples of thier work and was surprised by the quality workmanship.
Price aint too bad either, but it all depends on exactly what paint you are having, obviously matallic and pearls are a lot more expensive.

Virtually next door to berkshire bodyshop is a company the specialises in car wiring, you could ask them about the rear lights, i know they did someones orion that i know, i dont know the name of the company, i can find out tomorrow for you..

Might just have to bite the bullet, and ask the garage where the MOT is done, to fix the rear brakes for you.

If your mechanic has changed all the parts, did you see this happen?
