Default water leak help needed

hi all my cossie is leaking water from the back of the engine some where if i look under the car its running out between the back of sump and gearbox any ideas where its coming from checked heater pipes cant see where else it can be coming from any help would be gratefull as i miss it

just come back off holiday and started mine up with the same results ive posted on the tech q&a if i get an answer will let you know.bit of a pisser realy as was going to go to the rs owners do tomorrow

i was driving mine lost power when i stopped it was pissing water on the floor but not getting hot just lost the water i dont know what it is nor can i see where its coming from pls someone help i aint drove it for 2 weeks now and proper miss it this is my first cossie and aint got a clue how to fix it

not your head gasket is it,check for water stainage under the exhaust manifold at the back of engine

think it might be a core plug inside the bellhousing somwhere thats gone have yet to verify this though

yeah thats what i thought i took my head of tonight headgasket seemed ok so looks like im gonna have to drop the box and see if the core plug has popped out its the only thing it can be now i think jim dont take your head off its gotta be that core plug mate if yours is the same

oh the good thing is i aint got no cracks in top of block and my bores look good no play in pistons so im just gonna check that core change tappets and put it all back together lol

just had the core plug in the back of the engine checked and it was that £4 part and a days work bloody typical
