Hi,

I have a Mongoose exhaust on my escort cosworth but it doesnt have a Cat, what do other people do when its MOT time who have a car that should have a CAT but doesnt, is there no way it will pass the emmisions with the CAT

You need a place that 'understands' these cars

I know someone, but it's a bit of a trip from Blackpool

 

Best bet is to get a cat and have your exhaust cut and moddified so that the is a section that can be removed and a cat bolted in for mot time.

I had this done on another car, basically they cut out a section and weld on end joints at either end so it can be removed, and a cat bolted in. Cost me £50 cashy cashy at a place in coventry that build stainless exhausts.

Or get really pally with an MOT station or offer some cashy cashy to get it passed.

only problem is when old bill pull you over for a spot check and check your emissions , quite common now
