jetwashed the car yesterday, then when i turned the fans on (blowing towards your feet) i got showered with abot 2 litres of water!
any ideas? is this just "feature" of mk1 sierras?
and when it rains the footwells get wet, so thats obviously how it's getting in!

sounds like your heater matrix is leaking
...oh wait its not

WATER IS COMING IN THRU THE HEATER VENTS

anyone else have any ideas for what it isn't?
jim your ignorance astouds me!
so you know its not the heater matix!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
so there only two other points where water can actually get into, but the duct on the bonnet, or around the seal at the bottom of the heater box
GOD DAMN HAVE SOME COMMON SENSE!

rscabrio, but whats the heater box linked to?
ryan, thank you you've just told me exactly what i wanted to know
anyway if it is coming from the normal air intake thing surely this is either broken or a shite design? coz when it rains water will get in the intake thing
i know my mk2 never used to give me wet feet when it rained/got jetwashed
and its not ignorance, its lack of knowledge. if i was ignorant i wouldn't have asked in the 1st place
and yes, it definately isn't the heater matrix, i know this for 100%

but it was perfectly dry beforehand, then the moment the heaters were set to blow, it gushed out (as if oit was sitting in the heater box)
i would expect that rotten bodywork (which i dont have) would mean that the following wouldnt happen anway
it wouldnt have gotten wet when washing the car anwyay now afterwards

Ive had one of the crappest (fooked 1600 Mk1 sierra), one of the best (the mad 3dr cossie), and one in between (a moonstone 2.8V6 Janspeed Turbo 3door cossie rep with external wastegate etc), and NONE of them pissed water thru the vents when raining.
And knowing the routing for the blower pipes in the heater system, im suprised waters coming out, or do u mean the ones by ur feet?
