s2 strut tops

s2 strut tops

I have a crunching / banging which is coming from the drivers side - when I turn the damper nut and strut plate? it spins round the passenger side doesn't- does anyone elses move?

no, mine doesnt, just put chrome ones on mine, it twists a lil, maybe u got rust problems in the turret and the strut top isnt clamping to the body so thats why your damper shaft is spinning around!

Change the rubber grommet in the strut top, still available new

Possibly split thus causing the movement.

or maybe your damper bolt is snapped

but the spring is pushing the cup up against your strut housing stopping it from falling out,either way better check it out,deflex do strut rubbers,cheap too,but quality.
