American Steel Internals for 2.1 Turbo.

I'm on the verge of building a 2.1 zetec turbo for my S2 rs. I'm Red16's mate (resto thread, 1600i zetec turbo restore) and his obsession for very quick fords is rubbing off.
I'm after some information about using steel internals sourced from the states. From reading through some posts I get the feeling a few people have gone down this route before but only managing to get down to 9:1 compression using focus pistons. I'll be needing 0.5 overbore size pistons, those scrappy mondeo zetec bores need tidying up.
The states stuff looks cheap in comparison to the stuff over here and I've now got relatives over there who'll be able to post it.
Any info much appreciated.
