I am looking at buying a Saph 4x4 in the next few weeks.

Could someone please advise on the difference between the original and the facelift model please?
Also, I know that the green top engines are unleaded but what fuel do you now use in the red top engined cars.

Euhm okay.. this can be a long answer.. but it isn't

3 door and saff 2wd = red top engine
first saff 4wd's = red top engine (I think)
saff4wd = green top engine
escort cos = blue top engine

Always use unleaded ron97 (98 or more) fuel

As far as I know there hasn't been a facelift from the first 2wd in 88 till the last 4wd at the end of 1992 (or beginning 1993). They've changed the front sidelights to white and the rearlights to smoked, and the 4wd has a hood with vents.

Although all this information is not that relevant, since everyone can change the rockercover, boot, lights anyway

I put a deposit down on one on Wed night. The guy is in the process of changing his private plate so will have to wait a few weeks to get it. No problem as I am off to the states for two weeks holiday, hopefully all be sorted for when I get back.

K reg, smokestone, 60,000 miles, standard with full s/h, cloth interior with electric sunroof and heated front screen. This one is in mint condition.
