got a focus rs been to the rally car day at combe and seen some nice evo 8s might sell the frs and get one wot they like plus points and things you dont like cheers

 

I personally think that since the EVO 6, the styling has been appaling (sp) on them! Thats what half the appeal was to me, the raw look of a rally car!

However, in terms of technology, speed, power and agility they have moved on an awful lot and are now a pretty awesome machine!

Especially if you go for the FQ400 version!

Agreed, but as I said it depends what your after really, in terms of ballsout performance or styling!

 

7's and 8's look the dogs arsehole , my mate bought an fq300 after his saff, i have driven it a few times and tbh its piss, it handles amazing and feels super responsive but it just aint that fast , a stg 3 saf anihaltes it on the motorway but the evos home is the twistys mate, i am goin to get a 6 as thats the one to get imo, balls out looks, and appaerantly they are an amazing car once tweaked, but im sure they are piss slow std aswell so i suppose its persomnal choice for what you use it for

The Evo 7's and 8's arent visually as nice as the 6 (as above) but in terms of actually driving etc they are oodles ahead. A friend of mine chopped his 6 in for a 7 a month ago and wouldn't look back! (even though im tempted to buy a 6 once i sell the S2000!)

As for performance, if you upgrade the ECU (GEMs or something) exhaust/decat, filter etc etc you will easily see a RELIABLE 350hp!!!!! I used to give me Evo7 a hard time pretty much every time i used it and not once did it brake on me!!!!
