Series 2 lowering springs, help needed please!!!
I own a 1990 s2 which is fitted with an unknown make of suspension kit, it's runnning on 17's and at the moment it tends to sit a little lower at the back than it does at the front, i have a small amount of sound equipment in the boot but i think it's because the springs are fairly old. I'm going to purchase a new set of lowering springs this week but i cannot decide which to go for, i was looking for some oppions of what others have had good results with. I don't want to lower the car excessively and would like it to sit slightly lower at the front than at the rear (arch just above the tyre at the front and maybe a cm between arch and tyre at the rear) and a fairly hard spring, at the rear anyway (it's a nightmare trying to get grip down at the moment as it tends to squat a fair bit and lift at the front). I was thinking of something like a 25mm drop from the likes of spax or avo or gmax. Any oppinions and pictures if possibe would be greatly appreciated because nobody can seem to give a straight answer and i want make the right choice.
Thanx, Mark
