What a great day The track action has to be the best I've seen this year

It has to be said '2 Scotsmen in 2 Mk2 escorts' drifting like errrr... like Jimmy's being giving them lessons

saw your car leaving Rhys, as me and Mark were running for our Brollys
Missed the 9:20 track session unfortunately! Wanted to see that one.
Sorry I didnt catch up with you Stu, by the time I got into the paddok there were no XR's that I could see. I did watch a few sessions with the paris blue XR going round. That wasnt doing too badly considering the power defecit! Got REALLY out of shape at one point, I thought it was all over! managed to recover though, bloke must have needed a change of underwear after that tho

top day tho!

Just got back....had a top day

Good to see Little Joseph, Mr Tiff, Radders, Spiky, Stretch etc

I dont no a little bit of rain wont kill ya, get in a proper muddy forest and watch the action, then you'll no what rallying is about

Track action was awesome....Lee's 3dr was just something else, made the RS200 and 6R4 look like they were parked up carn't wait to see that at National day now. Saw Marco spacing his front bumper but he looked a bit stressed to stop and chat

Some really nice GRP B cars there taday and a nice selection of WRC.

I took 170 photo's but will take forever to load up

All round top day

Hi Ryhs

I never made it on track at all , i signed on first thing , then went to fit the slick I had a few probs with them because of the inner bottom part of the wing lip and the bumper , i'm not going into to much detail but i use a front saff anti roll bar which has then been moved forward even more , so it is a pain in the ass to get clearance with the rs500 bumper so it was then hammer time and file ...lol..

anyway i then decide to got for noise test 101 db @ 4500 rpm what a load of bollox , i asked the guy when was it last calibrated he said ,"this morning "

I said ," well where's the date on tester " he replyed It's not on there , I said," when a thing is calibrated it should have a time and date when it was last tested "

He then asked is me is engine cold I said ,"well i said yes , I have only drove from where it was parked to here thats it he said come back when it's warmed up and ill try it again

I said,"ok"

I went back 15 mins later when the engine was hot and it was 108 bd @ 4500 WTF

I said to the guy that thing is fooked up seriously ,

I know for a fact that my exhaust is 96bd @ 4500 and i told the guy this that i had it checked last night on my mates noise tester and it had the date on the back when it was last calibrated which was last month

anyway he wouldn't pass the car so i went over to "merlins" to get a silencer

but the never had one for the 4" tail pipe.

There was a rally car at the side of me which was tested his was 106 bd and he passed him ,

I still enjoyed the day it was pukka apart from the rain

Did you see my mates orange cos powerd mk1 mexico ??

his was 99db @ 4500 rpm his passed striaght away so i gave me session to porkie 's

his car had to be one of the quickest cars there today easy looked very fast he is only running 1.5 bar aswell

i'll be back next yr ....lol...

I would say the slicks on i would be doing ok on track

but it never happend so it's history

BTW I have only got 6 sets of RL7's and 1 set of 18"'s i think i put the slicks on the wrong set

I sure this set is defo E.T 25

Is a shame marco, its bollocks about the DB testing too, one rule for one, another for the next

But by the way, you have 6 sets to many

I'll come over next time and say hello

Ish

it fooking true one rule for one and one for another i am going to make a complaint saying that the rally cars were well over the limit and they still let them on (i know it's rally day and it's for rally cars but they seem to be strict on the rd going cars )

i have been going to rally day for the last 6 yrs and always send of money well in advance when they send me one for next yr i'll send it back and write "FOOK OFF "stick it up your ass sideways "

I know for a fact my exhaust is 100% legal i could understand if it was a single box goose but it's a twin box

rocco

true it is a good day out for the normal public if your watching totally agree with you there but when your suppose to be on track it is a bit of a pisser when you have paid to go on and then your told you can't because the noise tester was made by Tomytime

SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO gutted for you Marco. You really deserved to be out there.

Noise issues are just the worst thing to fail for. Maybe worth looking for a new Exhaust or get it repacked.

If you fail at Combe, I think you WILL fail at Bedford mate

Exhausts do get louder with age My old Mongoose failed the static and the driveby at Bedford by miles. I bought a new mongoose and that passed the static and only just failed the driveby. The H&S exhaust on there now is super quiet but then it fooking should be!

My Sierra was running great, very pleased how fast it was on 1.5 bar and road tyres.

2 Bar and Slicks for National day though

Lee

i now what your saying mate and have total respect for you , but what i am saying is lee checked it with his tester and it was most defo 96db @ 4500

i have spoken to him tonight and he told me that when they were doing the test they put it too near the exhaust it's suppose to be measured 3ft away not inside the fooking exhaust well near enough

anyway i am getting a new exhaust with a 3" tail pipe just for good measure or i'll get brom to make me one of those things you stick in the back tail pipe
