Default Track action @ Ford Fair in the S1

Had a great time on track so i thought i would post up a vid.

Only had 180miles on the new engine when i started the track session, didnt come on boost most of the time and when/if i did was around 2-3 psi with low revs. The handeling was more what the day was about

The engine is on around 450miles now and due for the next oil change, would like it to be 100% for national day.

The vids:-

Wicked - I didn't realise that was you mate.

I may have some more footage of your car out on track - will edit it up in a bit and upload it for you

Cheers,

Andy

I've only got a small bit of footage I'm afraid mate - have put them together for you.

You'll need the DivX codec to be able to watch it

Jano out on track at Ford Fair 2005 - 1.5Mb (DivX)

Cheers mate. I didnt get alot of the session on video as they didnt let me take the camera around the track even tho it has decent mounting and safe!

Looking forward to the next track session now.
Run the engine in and getting the final map next week.

What mount do you have? I heard that in the briefing in the morning that camera mounts were allowed as long as they were secured ok.

Does your mount clamp to the headrest mounts or to the roll cage?

B-Hague camera mounts

Those types of mount would be ok surely - I remember Lee (fusion fabrication) saying that they only liked the cameras that mount to the windscreen with sticky cups, seems to depend on the scrutineers!

Cheers,

Andy

I did have the type that goes between the headrests. I was told this would be ok previous to going on track.... When in the pit lane / start line i was told to remove it??????

But in briefing we was told that you can NOT use the type with sticky pads etc.. to windscreen due to them flying off in the event of a crash!!!

Windows MUST be 3/4 shut at all times! So the one for the windows is no good either.

I will weld a mount to the rollcage so i can fix it to that instead
