Default Clutch slipping only sometimes!

The clutch slips but only sometimes! When it is hot it doesnt do it unless I launch it! then sometimes it will be fine! If it was fooked wouldnt it just slip all the time?

Cheers

can also be a fooked clutch rachet, a few teeth could be broken, or clutch cable streched, or oil leak from rear crankshaft seal

Mine was the same and it wasn't the clutch that was the problem but the release bareing. Drive normally and it was fine, but launch it, clutch slipped big time.

old one on top and the new one under, as that was fooked it did this to the clutch plate cover.

Then the clutch wouldn't release at all.

True check what grimmeRST said first before changing the clutch as it might be just the rachet or cable

always check the cheapest things first, before ripping the box out

The clutch rache is easy to check as its only ontop of the clutch pedal. I thought it was the same on mine too untill I checked it and found out that it was fine.

mines is slghty the same but has a new paddle clutch in it, found out it was the crankshaft seal leaking oil onto the clutch after a long drive. i didnt beleive this but you could see oil seeping down the block into the box! only for a couple off quid on seal!!! i was think the new clutch had gone after 800 mile!!
